Papers

CHIMIT 2007 will include paper sessions to allow researchers, practitioners, and designers discuss cognitive, social, and technical issues in IT management. A sample of topics can be found in the Call for Papers -- Basics. Papers should present original and unpublished results. Accepted papers will be published in the Symposium Proceedings CD.

Preparation Guidelines

Please consider the following guidelines for a successful pape submission:

  • Authors should strive for maximum clarity throughout the paper.
  • State the contribution and originality of your work explicitly
  • State the problem and solution clearly stating differences from prior work.
  • Discuss approach and solution in detail allowing readers to replicate work and build on future research.
  • Describe relevant prior research in sufficient detail.
  • When applicable authors are encouraged to use figures.

Papers must be in standard ACM two-column format and cannot exceed 10 pages in total lengtt, including the abstract, figures and references, and must be formatted according to the detailed ACM SIG publication instructions (http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html).

Posters

CHIMIT 2007 will include an poster session for late-breaking results and preliminary results not yet suitable for a full paper. Accepted posters will be presented in a special Poster Session, allowing authors to interactively discuss their work with symposium participants. Accepted poster abstracts will be published in the Symposium Proceedings CD.

Preparation Guidelines

Please consider the following guidelines for a successful poster submission:

  • State the contribution and originality of your work clearly and explicitly
  • State the problem and solution clearly.
  • Focus on the contribution of your work, including only a brief background on relevant work.
  • Include the major graphical elements that will likely be used in the poster itself.

Posters must be in standard ACM two-column format and cannot exceed 2 pages in total length.
